Membership in international and regional networks

World Water Council

In January 2004, the Association became an active member of the World Water Council (WWC), the International Water Policy Think Tank dedicated to strengthening the world water movement for an improved management of the world’s water resources. The goal of the Association fit within those of the WWC that aim at promoting awareness and building political commitment on critical water issues at all levels, including decision making level, and at facilitating the efficient conservation, protection, development, planning, management and use of water on an environmentally sustainable basis.                               http://www.worldwatercouncil.org/

AWARENET

Since 2005, the Association is also a member of the Arab Integrated Water Resources Management Network (AWARENET), a network of training and research institutions in the Arab region providing capacity building on Integrated Water Resources Management. AWARENET is supported and hosted by the UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA). http://www.awarenet.org/

Anna Lindh

The Association is a member of the Anna Lindh Foundation since 2006. Anna Lindh is an organization, resourced by and reporting to the governments of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership and acting as a network of civil society organizations working for dialogue in the region. Its mandate is to bring people and organizations from both shores of the Mediterranean closer together through dialogue and help to bridge the gap between them. http://www.euromedalex.org/
